At 8pm, the &#8216;Future Cargo&#8217; truck ominously sitting on Guildhall Square opens up and reveals its contents. I guarantee Guildhall Square has never quite seen anything like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_203520-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_203520-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_203520-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_203520-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_203520-1200x900.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_203520.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The display makes full use of an internal conveyor belt and a Tardis-esque number of props. The coordination between the dancers, who are kept very busy throughout the 45 minute run time, is spot on and very other-worldly. The action on &#8216;screen&#8217; is matched by stereo sound delivered through special headphones, really taking you out of the square and into the world of Future Cargo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_201303-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-324\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_201303-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_201303-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_201303-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_201303-1200x900.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/shoplocalsouthampton.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/20210716_201303.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We finished the evening with drinks at Mettricks Guildhall, and what may be a contender for the best halloumi fries in the city. Coated in a &#8216;Southern fried halloumi&#8217; style they were crunchy on the outside and gooey in the middle.
